Library’s services will change as below from May 17th:
- Letter of introduction
You can apply for a letter of introduction if it is accepted by the library you are visiting.
- Internet terminals
Internet terminals on 4F (including TUFS learning commons) are available.
Those on 2F are not available for the time being.
- Reading seats
The number of reading seats are reduced so that users can sit keeping distance to others.
The Learning Commons (@Lab) on the 4th floor can be used for Zoom classes.
However, it is limited to use for personal learning. Not available for group learning.
Following areas are suspended for the time being.
Browsing hall, refresh corner, study hall, private study rooms
- TAC Library Lending(TLL) service
You must come to the library for picking up and return on weekday 10:00-17:00. Please note that we do not mail them to your home.
You can apply only from TLL application form in “Database” menu in library portal service.
*For the time being, you can borrow up to two books.
- Inter library loan & photocopy service
You must come to the library for picking up and return on 10:00-17:00 weekday; payment on 10:00-15:00 weekday.
Please note that we do not mail them to your home.

- Enter the library
Spring & Fall quarter:10:00-20:00 on weekday and 13:00-18:00 on Saturday
Summer & Winter quarter, outside class period:10:00-17:00 on weekday
Only for TUFS students, teachers and staff.
Bring your campus ID card.
When you enter the library, wear a mask to prevent infection.
- Lending books
You can lend books by automatic lending machine (Campus ID card required).
Checkout limits and loan period as follows:
Undergraduate students: 10 books, 14 days
Graduate students: 20 books, 31 days
Teaching staffs/Researchers: 30 books, 93days
- Temporary borrowing
You can bring out any materials before the closing time of the same day.
Campus ID card is required.
Return until 19:45 on weekday and 17:45 on Saturday.
You can copy library’s books by photocopy machines.
- Books-by-mail service
For the time being, we will continue these services, only for eligible users those who cannot come to the library.
- Returning books
For returning books, use the book return drop or send by mail.
Visitors cannot use library.
