Access Online Journals and Databases from Off-Campus – GakuNin –

With the cooperation of universities etc. throughout Japan, full-scale development and management of the Academic Access Management Federation in Japan (nickname: GakuNin) started in 2009.
it will enable on-campus Single Sign-On (the mechanism where a single ID and password permit a user to access all systems).

Students and faculty members of the TUFS can use the Online Journals and Databases contracted by the Library for study and research from outside the University with simple operations via the Internet.

How to Use

In order to access the DB from off-campus via GakuNin, an application is required.

Who can use GakuNin?

  • Undergraduate Students
  • Graduate Students
  • JLCTUFS (Japanese Language Center for International Students) Students
  • Faculty Members
  • Fellows and Researchers
  • Professors Emiritus

How to apply

Please fill out the application form.
Mail of registration completion will be sent to your TUFS mail from ICC.
It takes 5 to 10 days from application to service activation.

You can use the following databases from off-campus by simply entering your ICC account and password.
