Book returns

  • Please note that after the due date, no new loans or extensions can be made.
  • Please note that the library will suspend loans and extensions for the number of days the item is overdue from the day it is returned. (The maximum suspension period is 2 months)

Book returns in person

Please bring books directly to the Service Counter on 2F until 15 minutes before closing time

Drop Box

When the library is closed, you can use the drop box at the entrance on the second floor.

Book returns by Mail

If you are unable to return items in person due to illness or other reasons, please return them by mail.

Mailing Instructions

Shipping Method: Please use Registered Mail (Kan-i Kakitome).

Labeling: Clearly write “Returned Materials Enclosed” (返却資料在中) on the envelope or in the remarks column.

Packaging: To protect materials from rain or damage, please wrap them in a plastic bag before placing them in a paper bag or envelope.

Note on Late Returns

If materials are overdue, you will be unable to borrow new items or extend the due dates of items currently on loan.

Suspension Period: Your borrowing and extension privileges will be suspended from the day of return for a period equal to the number of days the items were overdue (up to a maximum of 2 months).
