マジャリワさんも、大学の世界展開力強化事業（アフリカ）、JASSO、矢崎総業さまより往復渡航費や滞在費用を支援していただき、今回の日本への留学を実現することができました。

2025年春学期が終わるまでの10か月間、充実した留学生活が安心して送れるよう、大学の世界展開力強化事業（アフリカ）と共に支えていきます。

My name is Majaliwa Bohohya Espoir, I am from the Democratic Republic of Congo. I am pursuing an undergraduate degree in Development Studies, with focus in Peace and Conflict Studies, at the Protestant University of Rwanda (PUR). My academic and personal interests are deeply rooted in serving others and exploring the dynamics of intercultural communication.

I am honored to have been selected as an exchange student by the Protestant University of Rwanda (PUR) in collaboration with Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (TUFS). As an enthusiast of intercultural experiences, I am eager to immerse myself in the distinctive aspects of Japanese culture and to gain practical insights. My curiosity extends to understanding the strategies Japan employed in its postwar development, which I believe holds valuable lesson for global development practices.

I perceive this exchange program as an opportunity to acquire Knowledge and experiences that I hope to bring back to my community for enhancing our collective understanding and development efforts. I am deeply grateful to everyone involved in making this program possible. My heartfelt appreciation goes to the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) for their generous scholarship, the Inter University Exchange Project (IAfP) and YAZAKI Corporation for covering my travel expenses, and the African Study Center for accepting me to join their academic community.
