◆要旨：In the context of the enduring challenges of industrial development on the African continent, some analysts have been asking whether Africa can industrialise. In this lecture, I argue that the question is not whether Africa can industrial; but whether the triggers and enablers of an industrial revolution in Africa exist.

第77回ASCセミナーは、ハイブリッド方式で実施し、日本とアフリカから57名（対面17名、オンライン40名）が参加しました。
アフリカの工業開発と産業革命についてのプレゼンテーションの後、様々な立場の参加者から質問がなされ、対面、オンラインともに積極的な意見交換が行われました。
