自己紹介	私の研究への関心は「なぜアフリカ社会の大部分がいまだ貧困にあえいでいるのか」という疑問が軸となっている。そのため、サブサハラ・アフリカの農村部での生活を政治的視点から見つめ、その土地の人々が生き抜く仕組みを研究している。私が関心があるのは、農村部の人々、特に若い世代の人々が、地元の基準と世界的基準の間でどう折り合いをつけながら生活を営んでいるのかということだ。現在は、アフリカ農村部の若者たちが、ソーシャルメディアやモバイルマネーなどを使って、デジタル・プラットフォームにどうかかわっているかを調査している。
