Our ICJS staff, Tatsuro Maeda, Associate Professor of TUFS, has received an award of excellence for his research on the "Production of Amami-go', including the production of an educational DVD for children and its usage" at the 7th Hakuho Research Grant for Child Education by Hakuho Foundation on August 11th 2013. This award is given out to individuals for their distinctive research among other candidates and Assoc. Prof. Maeda's research is highly-regarded for its harmonious work with the local people in Amami as well as its regional contribution.
