Emerging Innovations in English Worldwide: Creative Constructions as Indicators of Language Change

Tokyo University of Foreign Studies is delighted to have Professor Dr. Edgar Schneider (University of Regensburg) as Visiting Professor in the period of January to February 2024. As part of our 150th founding anniversary celebration, Prof. Schneider will deliver a public lecture titled ‘Emerging Innovations in English Worldwide: Creative Constructions as Indicators of Language Change’ on
January 24, 2024 at Room 226, Research and Lecture Building, TUFS Fuchu Campus.

This public lecture is supported by the International Center for Japan Studies. We will be happy to welcome everyone in the public lecture. He is also co-teaching the graduate courses ‘Dynamics of Englishes’ (doctoral level) and ‘Expanding Circle Englishes’ (master’s level) and delivering some lectures in undergraduate classes.He is also in Japan to deliver the keynote lecture for the 52nd National Conference of the Japan Association for Asian Englishes (JAFAE) to be held in Meijo University, Nagoya on January 28, 2024.
