TUFS Cinema Indian Movie Screening (4 Indian and South Asian movies to be shown)

TUFS will hold a movie screening event that aims to deepen an understanding of Indian and South Asian society and culture, showcasing a number of different films in a variety of languages.

This year will see a joint sponsorship with the National Museum of Ethnology and will include two entertaining films screened by the museum at their "Minpaku Special Indian Movie Event" in August for a total of four fims in four different languages. The films will be screened with commentaries by researchers of South Asia.

First screening November 28, 2015 Kanchivaram (Tamil) Start time: 14:00

Second screening December 5, 2015 Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (Hindi) Start time: 16:00

Third screening December 12, 2015 Shyamal Uncle Turns Off The Lights (Bengali) Start time: 14:00

Fourth screening January 23, 2016 Fandry (Marathi) Start time: 16:00
(doors open at 15:30)

Location: Prometheus Hall
Free admission. Seated by order of arrival (501 seats). No sign-up needed. Open to the public.
