【Lively Diplomat Lecture Series】Former Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia Gives Lecture at TUFS

On Monday the 11th of June, the former ambassador of Japan to Cambodia, Fumiaki Takahashi, visited TUFS as a guest lecturer, and gave a lecture to the title of ’25 Years after the Paris Peace Accords General Election - Modern Cambodia and Japan’ in room 102 of the Research and Lecture Building.

In this lecture, Mr. Takahashi began by explaining the lesser-known historic events that are crucial in understanding Cambodian culture. After this, Mr. Takahashi covered many topics such as Cambodian politics, the recent economic circumstances that continue to promote rapid development in Cambodia, and the cooperative efforts of Japan since the early Edo Period, all while illustrating his points with detailed documents and videos.

This lecture was attended by around 70 people ranging from students to teachers, and was followed by a lively question and answer session.
