ハマースの攻撃に端を発するイスラエル軍による激しいガザ地区への攻撃により、数多くの民間人が犠牲になっている状況に、本学構成員は、みな、深く憂慮しています。長年にわたり本学が学生交流を行ってきたヨルダン川西岸地区にあるビルゼイト大学の皆さんの心配や悲しみ、怒りに、心から共感します。皆さんの安全を祈り、停戦と平和が一日も早く訪れることを切に望みます。また、私たちにできることを行う決意です。

All the members of our university community are deeply concerned that many civilians are becoming the victims of the violent attacks in Gaza by the Israeli military following attacks by Hamas.

We deeply sympathize with the worry, pain, and anger of all the colleagues and students studying at Birzeit University on the West Bank, with which we have a long history of exchanging students.

We sincerely hope and pray for your safety, a ceasefire, and peace. We are determined to do what we can to support you.
