May 29 (Fri) 2026, Documentary Screening "Earth's Greatest Enemy"
This event features a screening of the documentary Earth’s Greatest Enemy (directed by Abby Martin and Mike Prysner). The film examines the environmental destruction caused by the U.S. military and its global impact, exposing the structural dimensions of military violence. Following the screening, a talk session will be held under the theme “The Reproduction of War in Militarized Okinawa,” featuring Wendy Matsumura (University of California, San Diego) and Kozue Uehara (Tokyo University of Foreign Studies). Through both the film and discussion, this event aims to explore the relationship between global military systems and local communities.
