"Let’s Talk Across Cultures: A Japan Journey of Communication”

Welcome and thank you for your interest in this intercultural online seminar.
How do people in Japan and around the world communicate beyond words?
Through examples such as eye contact, facial expression, silence, and the cultural ideas of honne and tatemae, this seminar invites participants to explore how respect, emotion, and connection are expressed across cultures.
By reflecting on your own communication style, you will gain new insight into how to build understanding and connection in global settings.

日本や世界の人々は、言葉を使わずにどのように気持ちや思いを伝えているのでしょうか。
本セミナーでは、アイコンタクト、表情、沈黙、そして「本音」と「建前」といった日本文化に関わるテーマを通して、文化によって「敬意」「感情」「つながり」の表し方がどのように異なるかを考えます。
自分自身のコミュニケーションの特徴を振り返り、異文化の人々とよりよく理解し合うためのヒントを探ります。
