Dr. Marlene Ngansop, a researcher at the University of Douala (Republic of Cameroon), will arrive in Japan in April 2026 for the spring semester and will be appointed as a Visiting Associate Professor.

She will stay at TUFS for a little over four months, until August 5, 2026.

As a Visiting Associate Professor, Marlene will teach School of International and Area Studies / International Cooperation Studies I: "Ethnobotany and Sustainable Development: Comparative Perspectives from Africa and Japan"

We warmly encourage you to enroll in her course. Graduate students are also most welcome.

She is also scheduled to give talks at open seminars, including the ASC Seminar.

Although her stay will be relatively short, we will make every effort to ensure that her time in Japan is both productive and fulfilling. We will also provide updates on her activities during her stay.
