The 4th Workshop "Dictionary of Japanese Errors Based on a Learners' Corpus-"Report(March 20, 2015)

First, professor Noboru OYANAGI (ICJS Special Researcher) presented about the possibility of the use of the method of the Japanese native English learner corpus that are developing in the international Japanese education section to error analysis.

Then, professor Keiko MOCHIZUKI, TUFS, presented about Japanese learners of English prepositions "in", "on","at". According to the analysis of this corpus, the Japanese learners of English, it is remarkable excessive use of "in". She pointed out that spatial perception is related to error cause.

Finally, professor Hiroshi SANO, TUFS, making the system development of this corpus is, make a comment with respect to universality and individuality of the preposition that commonly found in Japanese and English and Chinese, Study Group has been concluded. (Ryuko TANIGUCHI)
