Lake Tazawa Kogen Training Facilities

The TUFS Lake Tazawa Onsen Lodge training facilities on the Tazawako Plateau in Akita Prefecture?was built in 1971 for the welfare of TUFS students and personnel. Renovations from 1986 to 1989, including the construction of new facilities, completely transformed the Lodge, and it now looks like a mountain hut. The Lodge has administration functions, lodging, and dining room buildings. The single-story ferroconcrete lodging wing was newly built in 1988. It has three bedrooms (each for eight persons), one Japanese-style room (for three to four persons), and one Western-style room (for two persons). In 2001, the library and drying room were remodeled, and a lounge was added. The water in the bathrooms comes from hotsprings, allowing visitors the special treat of bathing whenever they wish.
