‘Bad Genius’ Screened at TUFS

On Saturday the 14th of December, TUFS Cinema held a screening of ‘Bad Genius’ (2017) at AGORA Global’s Prometheus Hall.

This film follows the story of a group of high school students led by a girl genius who, using only their courage and intellect, start a worldwide cheating scheme. Following the screening, TUFS lecturer Kosit Tiptiempong (Institute of Global Studies, Thai literature specialist) gave a lecture on the issues in the Thai education system that serve as background for this film.

Audience members left many comments such as ‘I furthered my understanding of education issues in Thailand’ and ‘it was interesting to hear the meanings of Thai phrases that can’t be fully conveyed through Japanese subtitles’.
