Special Online Session Conducted Between Turkmenistan and TUFS

On the 14th of November (Thu), a special live online session was conducted, connecting the TUFS Distance Learning Room and the International University for the Humanities and Development (IUHD), Turkmenistan.

This session was participated in by around 80 students from IUHD and 25 students from TUFS, including undergraduates who are majoring in Central Asian Area Studies and exchange students from Central Asian countries, with each side giving presentations about the collaboration between the two institutions. After IUHD’s presentation on their efforts in providing cutting-edge education and Japanese language education, a lecturer and a student from TUFS each gave a presentation on Central Asian Area Studies and Turkmen language education at TUFS. Lastly, a Turkmen student studying at TUFS presented on her Study Abroad experience in Japan.

The special online session was broadcast at the International Conference and Exhibition “Education and Sports in the Prosperous Epoch of the Powerful State,” which was held from 14-15 November in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. Our president, Professor Hayashi, and other TUFS staff were invited to the conference and exhibition. People at the venue stopped to watch the engaging presentations.

The special online session was very interactive with the participants interacting with each other in Turkmen, Russian, English, and Japanese.
