August 22, 2019

On Friday the 5th of July, TUFS invited Mr. SAITO Susumu from Emergency Assistance Japan, and Counselor KOSAKA Yoshiko from the TUFS Student Counseling Room to give an information session on crisis management and mental health for students planning to travel abroad. This information session was targeted at both students planning to study abroad, including long term exchanges and short visits, and students planning to travel abroad in general.

Mr. Saito gave a talk on the Overseas Student Safety Management Assistance Service (OSSMA) in which he explained the safety confirmation system and how to subscribe to this service. Counselor Kosaka spoke about common causes of stress when studying abroad and how to handle them. The students who attended this session listened carefully, and left the session with the knowledge necessary to manage themselves and any problems they may encounter while studying abroad.
