Ambassador of Turkey Visits TUFS

On Thursday the 16th of May, His Excellency Dr. Hasan Murat Mercan, ambassador of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Japan, visited TUFS. After observing a third year Turkish class and chatting with its students, Dr. Mercan met with TUFS President Kayoko Hayashi. This meeting was also attended by Professor Mutsumi Sugahara (Institute of Global Studies), specially-appointed Professor Fatma Türe (World Language and Society Education Centre) and five Turkish exchange students. The meeting was full of cheer and laughter, and discussion revolved around the opening of a Turkish speech competition and embassy events for Turkish major students.
