Institute of Japan Studies holds 2018 Lecture Series

February 15, 2019

From September 2018 to January 2019, the Institute of Japan Studies’ 2018 Lecture Series “What Japan Studies aims for: The various facets and possibilities” (five lectures in total), was held at TUFS.

Due to the approaching launch of the new School of Japan Studies (April 2019), this year’s lecture series invited researchers to speak on Japanese culture, language, education, history and literature in the global context for the purpose of promoting the many charms of Japan Studies which are offered and taught in this new undergraduate program. After each lecture a question and answer session was held in which both the audience and researchers could discuss each topic in more detail.
