President of Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University Gives Lecture at TUFS

On Thursday the 6th of December, the founder of LIFENET INSURANCE COMPANY and current president of Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, Mr. Haruaki Deguchi, was invited to TUFS to give a lecture at the 2018 Library Lecture Series. Mr. Deguchi gave a lecture titled “Skills Wanted in a Global Society: Thinking and Reading”.

In his lecture, Mr. Deguchi discussed the importance of meeting people, reading books and travelling, and explained his points through personal anecdotes and examples.

This event was held at AGORA Global’s Prometheus Hall, and was attended by many people including TUFS students and local citizens.
The Library Lecture Series has been held every year since 2000 as part of the Open Community Project. TUFS intends to continue holding this lecture series.
