TUFS Emeritus Professor Tadao Uemura Wins Atsuko Suga Translation Award

TUFS Emeritus Professor Tadao Uemura has won the Atsuko Suga Translation Award for his translation of “Che cos'e la filosofia?” (Giorgio Agamben, Macerata: Quodlibet, 2016. Translation published by Misuzu Shobo, January 2017 issue).

The Atsuko Suga Translation Award is an award created in 2014 by the Istituto Italiano di Cultura, and is awarded to outstanding Japanese translations of Italian literature.

The award ceremony will take place on Friday the 7th of December at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Tokyo.
