The Joint Doctoral Program for Sustainability Research Will Begin in April 2019

A joint program between TUFS, the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT) and The University of Electro-Communications (UEC) called the ‘Joint Doctoral Program for Sustainability Research’ has been envisioned for April 2019. A plan for this was submitted for review to The Council for University Chartering and School Juridical Person of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and we are proud to announce that this plan has been accepted.

This new program will aim to develop human resources who will contribute to solving the problems facing international society such as environment and energy, production and consumption, labor, hunger and poverty. In order to do this, the three universities will combine their respective educational and research resource-related strengths, and develop doctoral level human resources knowledgeable in both the humanities and the sciences. Please anticipate great things from the Joint Doctoral Program for Sustainability Research.
