TUFS awarded World Hindi Award

The 11th World Hindi Conference organized by the Ministry of External Affairs of India and the World Hindi Secretariat was held in the Republic of Mauritius from Saturday, August 18 to Monday, August 20, 2018, where TUFS received the World Hindi Award for “Outstanding Hindi Education Institution”.
Vice President ITO Sukero attended the conference on behalf of President TATEISHI Hirotaka, and the award ceremony was held in front of 1,000 participants from India and around the world. At the ceremony, Professor Emeritus MACHIDA Kazuhiko from TUFS also received the World Hindi Honor Award.
Previously, the World Hindi Honor Award had only been awarded to individuals, but from this year educational institutions have also become subject to an Institutional Honor Award.

Prior to receiving the award, President Tateishi, Professor Emeritus Machida and Assistant Professor Raj Lakhi SEN paid a courtesy visit to Indian Ambassador to Japan H.E. Sujan Romeshchandra CHINOY to discuss the award on Tuesday, August 7. (The discussion is posted on the official Twitter page of the Indian Embassy in Japan.)
