TUFS Program Selected for the Inter-University Exchange Project (COIL)

August 27, 2018

The "Trans-Pacific Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) for the Multiculturalism and Conflict-Resilience" program, implemented by TUFS in cooperation with International Christian University (ICU) was adopted as part of the FY 2018 Inter-University Exchange Project (Type A, supporting the formation of collaborative programs with U.S. universities using COIL-style education) conducted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).

This program aims to promote student exchange through the implementation of COIL-based education with 10 major institutions in the United States, mainly in the California region. With the cooperation of Aoyama Gakuin University alongside TUFS and ICU, we strive to enhance international education supported by multiple universities.

In addition, by providing opportunities for COIL-based education, short/long term study abroad and internships, we hope to foster human resources who will develop a practical vision and take an active role in the global community to solve the various issues facing Japan and the U.S.
