Ambassador of Iraq visits TUFS

On Tuesday the 10th of April, the newly-instated Ambassador of Iraq to Japan, His Excellency Mr. Khalil Ismail Abdulsahib Al-Mosawi, visited TUFS to meet President Tateishi. This meeting was also attended by Professor Sho Hagio (President’s Task Force, Head of International Affairs), Professor Kumiko Yagi (Institute of Global Studies, Religious Studies, Islam Studies) and Professor Hiroyuki Aoyama (Institute of Global Studies, Contemporary Middle East Politics, Ideology and History).

2019 will mark the 80 year anniversary of Iraq-Japan diplomatic relations. To celebrate this, TUFS proposed to host a lecture by Ambassador Al-Mosawi at TUFS. The possibility of other cultural exchanges was also discussed, and it was agreed that we will continue to build cooperative relations.
