TUFS Soccer Club held a "Soccer & English Classroom" event for Elementary School Students

October 25, 2023

On Sunday, October 22, 2023, the TUFS Soccer Club held a "Soccer and English Class" for elementary school students at the TUFS grounds.

This event was held to combine the concepts of "Let's enjoy playing soccer together!” and “Let's have fun learning English!”. This was the first time for the club to hold this community exchange event. Participants were divided into two groups, one for younger students and one for older students, and each group was given 45 minutes each to enjoy English and soccer.

The English class was led by club members with overseas experience, while the soccer class was led by club members, including the club's director, who also has coaching experience in Germany. The event was a great success, with 77 participants (42 younger students and 35 older students), mostly elementary school students living in the neighborhood.

Captain of the club, Takuya Fukuda (2nd year, School of International and Area Studies), commented, “This was our club's first community event, and we were very happy that so many people came. We would like to continue to work toward our goal of becoming a platform for people to connect with each other through activities such as this.”
