Community Safety Information Session for International Students held at TUFS

October 3, 2019

On Monday the 30th of September, TUFS invited Assistant Inspector Ogata from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department to give an information session on community safety for international students. This session was attended by around 200 exchange students (ISEPTUFS), Japanese Studies students and postgraduate (PCS Course) students who arrived at TUFS in September. At the session, students learnt about the rules and manners needed for life in Japan, and listened to precautionary explanations regarding crime.

In addition to this, international students were paired with TUFS students through the international student support buddy system, whom they met for the first time before the session. The students introduced themselves to each other and exchanged contact details, providing a good opportunity for the new international students to make friends with Japanese students.
