La-CEP Students Japanese Research Presentation held at TUFS

October 10, 2019

On Wednesday the 25th of September, a presentation was held by 24 exchange students from Latin America who came to TUFS in August with La-CEP (“A Co-Creative Education Program of Humanities and Sciences to Solve Global Issues Confronting Japan and Latin America”), at which they presented the results of their one month-long Japanese language research projects.
These students have been studying about Japanese language and current affairs at the three partner institutions of this program – Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, University of Electro-Communications and TUFS – since August 29, and shared the results of their efforts in Japanese at this presentation event. The presentations covered a range of topics including Japanese food and Waka poems, and many students came up with surprising angles for their research. Compared to when they first arrived, the students were full of confidence and beaming as they spoke, and we hope they continue to succeed in their individual coursework and research at each university.
The three partner institutions of this program aim to work together to support the students so they can have a fulfilling exchange experience in Japan.
