Professor Chikako Tsuruta Commemorated at the H.I.H Prince Takamado Trophy English Oratorical Contest

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the H.I.H Prince Takamado Trophy All Japan Inter-Middle School English Oratorical Contest, a contest that has been held every year since 1949. TUFS Professor Chikako Tsuruta (Institute of Global Studies) has been active in the organization of this contest for many years, and at this year’s contest, she was awarded for her efforts.

This award is given to middle schools, organizations and individuals who have contributed to and cooperated in developing the contest for ten years or more.

The award ceremony was held on Friday the 30th of November at the Grand Reception of the 70th H.I.H Prince Takamado Trophy All Japan Inter-Middle School English Oratorical Contest (in the Peacock Room of the Imperial Hotel).
