To those who were affected by the massive earthquake in Turkey and Syria

In response to the widespread damage from the earthquake that struck southern Turkey on February 6, TUFS sent messages of sympathy to Ankara University, Boğaziçi University, and Marmara University in Turkey, Damascus University and Aleppo University in Syria.

We are deeply shocked by the earthquake that struck on February 6 with its epicentre in southern Turkey and claimed many lives and injuries in Turkey and Syria. I sincerely pray for the safety of all students who have studied at our university, as well as all members of your university, their families and friends.

Living in Japan, we are well aware of the suffering caused by earthquakes. Our hearts are aching for the suffering of those who are now in the affected areas. We pray for the souls of those who lost their lives and for the speedy recovery of those who were injured.
