2015 Overseas Academic Survey Forum Held

On Saturday, June 26th, the 2015 Overseas Academic Survey Forum was held at the Research Institute for Languages and Culture of Asia and Africa. The institute organizes the forum annually, aiming to promote smooth implementation of research and to help researchers to exchange ideas. It is also hoped that this academic forum contributes to the development of academic research conducted internationally. 。

In the morning, a public workshop “Documentation in Field Science: Collect, Gauge, and Count” was held. In the afternoon, Kazumasa Oowashi, the head of the Research Aid Division,Research Program Department, the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, delivered a presentation about Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research (KAKENHI), and also exchanged ideas with the audience. After the presentation, a meeting was conducted where participants were divided by areas and exchanged ideas and information.

A poster exhibition, “Overseas Academic Research Festival”, was held at another venue where the audience also shared ideas and information.

Approximately 70 researchers and secretaries including the head researchers of KAKENHI-awarded studies shared information.
