Professor of Instituto Superior Lusiada de Cabinda in Angola Visits TUFS

On Monday, May 25th, Professor Martinh Nombo from the Instituto Superior Lusiada de Cabinda (Literally, the Institute of Advanced Technology in Cabinda) in Angola, visited TUFS. The professor met with President Tateishi, Executive Director Iwasaki (Personnel and Research), and Associate Professor Lucio Sousa.

Professor Martinho Nombo came to Japan to attend an international symposium “Multifaceted Japan: Past, Present and Future of Crossing Identities” and to deliver a presentation “ Multiethnicity, Crossing and Globalization”. The symposium was held from May 29th to 31st.

In the meeting, the professor and TUFS executives and professor talked about the chances for exchange of students and researchers with the hope of concluding an academic partnership. Professor Nambo remarked that the educational infrastructure in Angola is still insufficient and that the country expects support and assistance from foreign countries including Japan. He also said that this visit would bear fruit in the future.
