TUFS Graduate Wins Suga Atsuko Prize for Translation

TUFS Graduate Yoko Shirasaki (Class of 1970, Italian major) won the 1st Atsuko Suga translation award. This prize established this year, recognizes works of translated from Italian to Japanese. The prize is dedicated to a prominent Japanese translator and Italian scholar, Atsuko Suga(Hyogo 1929 -Tokyo 1998). The award ceremony took place on Thursday, November 13th. Italy's ambassador to Japan attended.
