TUFS President's Special Lecture at the 3rd Japan-North Africa University Presidents Meeting, and the Signing of a Partnership with Mohammed V University-Agdal (Morocco)

On Tuesday, October 22nd, the 3rd Japan-North Africa University Presidents Meeting was held in the Moroccan capital of Rabat. At the event, TUFS President Tateishi gave a special lecture about the current situation and vision of the education and research on Africa at TUFS. The conference, hosted by the University of Tsukuba, is held every other year both in North African countries and Japan. TUFS has participated since the first conference in Tunisia. This time, thanks to it being co-hosted with Mohammed V University-Agdal, there were attendees from 36 universities and institutions from North Africa and 12 from Japan, including representatives from the Moroccan Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Executive Training, the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), and embassy delegates. The signing ceremony for the partnership between co-host Mohammed V University-Agdal and TUFS took place during the event. Moreover, an orientation meeting for studying abroad in Japan was also held, and it was attended by many high school students, university students and researchers from Morocco.
