Kuwaiti Ambassador Visits TUFS

  On Wednesday, June 12, H.E. Mr. Abdul-Rahman Humood A.R. Al-Otaibi, the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Japan, made a visit to TUFS President Hirotaka Tateishi. He also conversed with Executive Director for International Strategies Koji Miyazaki, Vice-Director of the TUFS Japanese Language Center for International Students (JLC) Hiroko Fujimori, TUFS Professor Hiroyuki Aoyama, who specializes in Arab politics, Vice-Director of the Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia and Africa Masato Iiuzka, and Professor Aiko Nishikida of the same center.
   The ambassador took a keen interest in TUFS’ education and research on the Arabic-speaking world and the acceptance situation of foreign students from the region. He expressed his high expectations for the future development of exchange with Japan.
   Afterwards Mr. Al-Otaibi observed a class in JLC, where he interacted with international students, asking them why they decided to study in Japan.
