TUFS FOR PALESTINE has been actively engaging with the Palestinian issue through campus demonstrations and film screenings. One notable initiative is the panel exhibition titled "GAZA FACES, NOT JUST NUMBERS!" This exhibition visually and practically highlights the Palestinian plight. However, some students have requested a return to the foundational aspects of the Palestinian issue. In response, we organized this lecture aimed at exploring the historical and social context of the situation.
The "GAZA FACES, NOT JUST NUMBERS!" exhibition is a reconstruction of the online GAZA FACES project, which serves as a digital archive documenting individuals who have been killed in Gaza. Each entry includes a brief biography and details of their death, emphasizing their personal stories and humanity. The goal of this exhibition is to "re-humanize" the individuals by presenting their faces, names, and personal histories, thereby countering the dehumanization of Palestinian victims.
We hope that this lecture, along with the exhibition, will offer visitors a more profound understanding of the Palestinian issue.
