[Lecturers Only] Strong typhoon approaching Japan

As you may know, a very strong typhoon will be approaching the Pacific side of Eastern Japan tomorrow, July 11th (Fri). It is expected to bring strong winds, heavy rainfall wide areas of western Japan.
According to the TUFS regulations, morning classes will be canceled if there is warning or special warning for heavy rain / hurricane in Tama area or Tokyo metropolitan area as of 6:30AM. in the morning. Also, classes will be canceled if there is warning or special warning for heavy rain / hurricane as of 10:00AM.
It may cause public transportation (bus, train) delay or stop the operation due to heavy rain/wind. Please pay attention to the weather news.

7月10日12時30分発表の情報で、台風8号は、10日11時には足摺岬の西南西約70kmにあり、中心気圧985ヘクト・パスカル、中心付近の最大風速25メートルで、毎時35kmで東に進んでいるとのことです。
このまま進みますと10日21時には新宮市の東約30kmに達し、11日9時頃には福島県いわき市の南東約50kmに到達したのち温帯低気圧に替わる見込みということです。
本学では、原則的に午前6時半現在において、多摩北部あるいは東京23区西部のいずれかで大雨、暴風に関する警報または特別警報が発令中の場合、午前中の授業を休講とすることとしています。また、午前10時現在で同様の警報または特別警報が発令中の場合、午後の授業を休講とすることとしています。
また、災害等により、6時半現在において、JR中央線と京王線が共に運休している場合も午前中の授業が、10時現在において同様の場合は午後の授業が休講となります。
