On March 23 and 24, 2nd International Symposium "Towards a Construction of International Japanese Studies" was held at Prometheus Hall of Agora Global in TUFS. This was consists of four sessions and 14 guests, leading scholars of Japanese studies in China, Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, Brazil, and Japan. At the end of the symposium, Director Prof. Kyoko Nomoto proposed to ask the lecturers to organize International committee board for the Journal of Japanese Studies of ICJS, and to make an opened society for Japanese studies, centering on East Asian Universities and Institutes. We had 85 participants during those two days. A report of the symposium will be published in July.
