Workshop - "Japanese Language Education in the U.S.A.: Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language to Native Speakers of English"

On Monday 5th April, 2010, the Workshop "Japanese Language Education in U.S. - Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language to Native Speakers of English - " was held at the Conference hall.

The event was organized as a project of the International Japanese Education Division. We invited Professor Robert Russell from B.Y.U. who is the associate Professor of Japanese, Asian and Near Eastern Languages.

The lecture began with an outline of Japanese Education in U.S. , he followed with the background of Japanese Learner in B.Y.U. where many of its students are in the intermediate to advanced levels, Curriculum and the trouble spots.The workshop was followed a question and answer session where there were lively discussions among speaker and specialists.
