We apply its expertise in international languages and culture to engage in intercultural projects through partnerships and cooperation with various external organizations, such as regional municipalities, public institutions, and international exchange associations.

Partnership with the City of Fuchu

a. The “Handbook for Foreigners Living in Japan” for the City of Fuchu has been created as a part of the curriculum of School of Language and Culture Studies.

b. Overseas students from the University give lessons on international understanding to elementary school children.

Partnership with the City of Oizumi, Gunma Prefecture

Portuguese theater performances with subtitles are held for the Brazilian community.

Towards the Tokyo 2020 Games

We cooperate in communication support activities with foreign languages for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Partnership with the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office

TUFS has signed a memorandum and agreed to a partnership and cooperation with the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office with such goals as training interpreters for smoother communication in our intercultural society. We conduct events to promote understanding of legal interpreters and mutual training in interpreting skills and intercultural community.
