Offering Diverse Japanese Language Courses and Programs Using Developed Teaching Materials

Online Preparatory Japanese Language Course for International Students

The Online Preparatory Japanese Language Course (OPJLC) is designed for international students studying in Japan as well as overseas learners planning to study in Japan. Participants can choose between live courses and on-demand courses (with or without supplementary live support sessions) based on their Japanese proficiency level and learning style. The program covers beginner- to intermediate-level Japanese.

The course is offered twice a year: the Spring Term (February–March) and the Summer Term (August–September). The course is tuition-free.

TUFS Open Academy: Online Japanese Language Courses

These are public courses offered by Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. In the field of Japanese language and culture, the program offers General Education Courses for the general public and Japanese Language Courses for Japanese language learners. The courses are designed for learners both in Japan and abroad with a wide range of Japanese proficiency levels, interests, and learning styles.

The courses are offered twice a year: the Spring Term (April–July) and the Fall Term (October–January).

Short-Stay Programs / Corporate and Municipal Training Programs

We develop and deliver Japanese language education programs in response to requests from partner universities, external organizations, companies, and local governments.
