Staff Overseas Training Report Session (FY2025) Held

Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (TUFS) implements the “Staff Internationalization Training Program” with the aim of enhancing the global perspectives and professional competencies of its administrative staff. As part of this initiative, the third report session for FY2025 was held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, to provide an opportunity for staff members who participated in overseas training to share their experiences.
The session was attended by faculty and staff members of the university and provided a valuable opportunity to deepen understanding of international collaboration with overseas universities and participation in international academic events.
[Overseas University Collaboration and Study Visits]
Staff members from the Library and Information Resources Division and the General Affairs and Planning Division reported on their overseas training conducted in January 2026. In addition to meetings related to the HIPS (History in the Public Sphere) consortium project, they shared insights gained through visits to Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and Central European University, as well as challenges related to student exchange within the HIPS program.
[Report on Preparation for Participation in an International Conference]
A staff member from the Office for International Affairs reported on preparations for participation in the Stellenbosch International Academic Networks (SIAN) conference in March 2026. Although flight cancellations due to the conflict in the Middle East resulted in the cancellation of on-site participation, she shared the preparation process and the measures taken in response to the situation.
