Polish Embassy Hosts New Year's Party for Polish Language Students at Our University

On Friday, February 20, 2026, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Japan in hosted a New Year's party for Polish language students at our university, with many students and faculty members from our university in attendance. This event was held in response to a warm invitation from Ambassador Paweł Milewski, who had visited as a guest at last year's Foreign Language Festival and was impressed by the students' Polish restaurant and Polish language play.

Ambassador Milewski delivered a welcoming address at the start, followed by a presentation on the appeal of Polish tourism by Director Maria Orzeł, Director of the Polish National Tourism Office in Tokyo. At Ambassador Milewski's suggestion, the event also served as a Japanese New Year gathering. Two representative Polish desserts, Szarlotka (apple cake) and Sernik (cheesecake), were served, and gifts related to Poland were presented.
