Collaborative Course with Jagiellonian University (Poland)

November 17, 2025

As part of the collaborative courses offered through international cooperative education with our overseas partner institutions, we invited Dr. Adriana Prizel-Kania and Dr. Beata Terka, who teach Polish as a foreign language at Jagiellonian University in Poland, to our university from Tuesday, October 28, 2025, to Friday, November 7, 2025. These two instructors participated as lecturers in classes primarily taught in Polish, collaborating with our Polish language faculty and also provided learning support to our students.

The primary purpose of these collaborative classes was for the visiting faculty to gain experience teaching Japanese-speaking students, which they can apply to their future teaching in Poland. By learning about our university's curriculum and teaching methods, they aimed to enhance their knowledge of lesson design. Furthermore, our faculty members also exchanged information about teaching methods and curricula in Poland, enabling them to utilize this knowledge in our own educational programs.

Our students also received face-to-face instruction and guidance from these two faculty members, which heightened their motivation for learning Polish and studying in Poland. This initiative also introduced diversity into the students' learning environment, and the new encounters with faculty from our partner institution provided a tangible stimulus for fostering awareness of multicultural coexistence.

By promoting such mutually beneficial international collaborative classes, the partnership with our partner institution will be further strengthened, promising significant educational benefits for the future.
