Comments from captain of the men's team and head of the kendo club, Kota Okabe (3rd year, School of International and Area Studies)
This time, we were able to achieve our initial goal of winning a place in the Tokyo National and Public University Kendo Tournament, which was also one of our goals for this year. The men's team achieved its goal of winning a place in the team competition. In the individual competition, Mashiko, a 2nd-year student, won 3rd place, and Osada, a 3rd-year student, made it to the top 8, achieving excellent results.
This result is thanks to the guidance of our instructors, including Noguchi Sensei and Sakazume Coach, as well as our alumni and all the members who have worked hard together within the club.
We will not forget our gratitude to those around us and will continue to strive to further develop the kendo club. We ask for your continued support for the kendo club!!
