Notice on the Full Summer Vacation

We will have a full summer vacation from August 8 (Sat.) through August 16 (Sun.), 2026. Offices will be closed and access to TUFS' campus will be restricted during this time. We ask for your cooperation.
1) About the closing of the offices and stopping of certificate issuing
Due to the summer holiday, the counter, telephone and e-mail services, and various certificate issuing services (including automatic-issuing machines) will be suspended. Also, certificate issuing (including those done on the machine) will not be available.
Period: August 8 (Sat.) to August 16 (Sun.)
※For the number of days required for the issuance of various certificates (https://www.tufs.ac.jp/alumni/certificate.html), please refer to the Application for Certificates for Graduates.
※Certificates issued by the exchange students department take between seven to ten days to be sent.
2)Campus Access restrictions
Restricted period:Saturday, August 8 - Sunday, August 16
(Power outage on August 9 (Sat.) due to periodic inspection of high-voltage power receiving and transforming facilities)
Restricted area: All Fuchu campus’ building (except TUFS International Residence)
Please note that faculty and staff cannot use their campus card to unlock building entrances and exits.
3)Student Support facilities that will be closed in these dates
The following facilities will be closed from August 8 (Sat.) to August 16 (Sun.).
- TUFS Student Mobility Center
- Health Care Center
- Student Inquiries Room
- Global Career Center
- Volunteer Space (VOLAS)
The Academic Support Center will be closed during the month of August.
4)Notice on the closing of the library
TUFS’ library will be closed during the following date.
Period: August 8 (Sat.) - August 16 (Sun.)
※Automatic doors will not be operating, so the book return post cannot be used from 20:00 on August 7 (Fri.) to 9:00 a.m. on August 17 (Mon.).

5)Graduate Student Research Room (Room 401)
Graduate Student Research Rooms (Room 401, Research and Lecture Building) will not be available during the following period due to building access restrictions.
August 8 (Sat.) to August 16 (Sun.)
6) Co-op stores
All TUFS’ university co-op stores will be closed during the following period.
- “Meal" cafeteria on the first floor: August 8 (Sat.) - August 16 (Sun.)
- Purchasing Book Department "Hatch Potsch" August 8 (Sat.) - August 16 (Sun.)
- Co-op Head Office Saturday, August 8 (Sat.) - August 17 (Mon.)
- The second-floor cafeteria "Sabooru" will be closed until September 30 (Tue.).
Please note that the hours of operation will also be shortened from July 29 to September 30.
- Purchasing Book Department "Hutch Pocci" 11:30-13:00 (closed on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays)
- Meal" cafeteria on the first floor: 11:30-13:00 (closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays)
- Co-op Headquarters 11:30-13:00 (Closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays)
The second-floor cafeteria "Sabooru" will be closed until Tuesday, September 30.
7)Extracurricular Activity Facilities
The facilities will be unavailable on the following dates:
- August 8 (Sat.), August 12 (Wed.) - August 14 (Fri.)
