Report Meeting Held for International Training Programme

June 27, 2017

On Wednesday 7 th June 2017, the report meeting for the 2016 Young Researchers Training Programme took place.

The "Young Researchers Training Programme" is a program which began in 2015 involving the experience of young Japanese researchers including graduate students in domestic educational and research institutions and academic conferences, building a network with preeminent Japanese researchers and research institutions.

In the report meeting, 9 graduate students of Japan studies who were deputed overseas last year gave presentations on their valuable experiences they gained at their destinations, networking with new researchers of Japan studies through a variety of activities such as academic conferences, fieldwork, interviews and meetings with researchers

Many students hoping to join the next training programme also attended, and judging by the lively question and answer session it seems that there is a high amount of interest in the programme.

With the continuation of this project from this year (2017) on, we aim for the further development of Japan studies at TUFS.
