The Student Awards Ceremony for 2015 Academic Year Held on March 23rd

On the 23rd of March 2016 (Wed), the Student Awards Ceremony was held.
The ceremony took place in the President’s office and President Tateishi presented 14 students with their certificate of commendation.

Yuka Naito (School of International and Area Studies, Regions of Eastern Asia, 2nd year)
After qualifying top place in the preliminary round of the “Chinese Bridge” World University Chinese language Contest East region, she went on to compete in the semi-finals.
Kota Yasue (Faculty of Foreign Studies, Italian Major, 4th year)
Toshimitsu Warita (School of International and Area Studies, Regions of South Western Europe, 3rd year)
Being selected for the Japanese National Cheerleading Team, then achieving 2nd place at the 8th Cheerleading World Championships in the men and women mixed category.
Masumi Yoshizu (School of Language and Culture Studies, German Major, 3rd year)
Won 2nd place at the 16th All Japan Student German Speech Contest
Hiroe Miyazaki (School of International and Area Studies, Regions of Russia, 3rd year)
Awarded 1st place in the 25th Soka University Founder`s Cup Russian Speech Contest in the standard category.
Miho Takase (School of Language and Culture Studies, Chinese Major, 2nd year)
Awarded 2nd place in the 33rd All Japan Chinese Speech Contest in the university student category.
Toko Takao (Faculty of Foreign Studies, French Major, 4th year)
2nd place in the 9th Student Interpretation Contest
Cheerleading 27th All Japan Student Cheerleading Championships
